PHD RESEARCH:

I am working towards my PhD in cultural anthropology at Cornell University. My research focuses on South Asian studies, with a particular focus on the Himalayan region. I have spent three years conducting ethnographic research in Kathmandu on development, conflict, and youth culture.

MEDIA RESEARCH:

From 2007-2012, I worked as a researcher for the National Geographic Channel. I worked on many shows, such as Inside LA Gang Wars, Locked In, and Ultimate Africa Series. But my baby was Taboo - a show that marries anthropology with media.

In 2011-12, I worked as a researcher and producer for the Asia Society where I helped produce their forthcoming China & Globalization series. In 2010, I worked as a researcher and writer for their Webby Award-nominated site Homeland Afghanistan.

In 2010, 2011, and 2012, I worked as a researcher and copywriter for Ogilvy Entertainment.
